Conversation overheard at nursery school of the future:

Amy: "My Mommy is 51. How old is your Mommy?"
Brittney: "53. I love her lots, but she's always tired."

Amy: "Mine too. How old is your Dad?"
Brittney: "He had a heart attack last year."

Amy: "Oh. Mine has alzheimers."
Brittney: "Oh. Who is Al Zeimers?"

(ba-DUMP, shish!)

:) Funny--I had to laugh. In my case, my parents were much older than those of my peers when I was growing up. Well, um, I guess they still are. Anyways, I always liked that. Both experienced WW II, and that makes me feel I have a connection to that event. And they had the good sense to be my parents, not buddies or pals. Personally I feel I lucked out. YMMV.
