I can't for the life of me picture those 3 North River buildings they describe--perhaps they mean the Thompson Building? Can't think of any other 1861 buildings in that area, and I thought the Thompson Building was just slightly older.

yes, they mean the thompson building. If the reporter couldn't figure out its real name, how could one expect them to know its correct age?

IMO, despite the previous landlord's poor management of the structure, it was still vastly superior to the building being a) unoccupied (as it is now) or b) developed by barnes into yet another 'upscale residence' beyond the price range of most ypsilantians.

I would like to see it become a museum, but i say that about nearly everything.
