Maybe these weirdos have outed Laurel and Hardy, too, and that's why we don't see them on television nowadays. I really miss them. They had a great influence on me. In fact, they play a large part in why beginning in my childhood I am so gay. (Poor dictionary. It ain't what it used to be.) Ha ha ha!

THANK YOU! It's already more expensive to live as a single person; I'm sick of families believing that they somehow deserve some exaulted status just because they've chosen to procreate. Lord knows, people who don't have kids already pay for their children's schooling, why should they get tax breaks on top of that? (Over HALF of most city budgets go to education -- not that I'm against that -- I think it's expensive not to educate kids, but parents should be greatful that everyone helps them carry the burden.)

Well, I was hoping I didn't tick off anyone with those crotchety comments about the cost of living alone, so, thanks, Anna, for backing that up. Glad to see I'm not alone in that opinion. Indeed, you are right, we singles pay for others' kids' public school education--I hadn't thought of that.

There's an awful lot of luxury--that I relish--in living alone and doing just as you please, 24 hours a day, so I can't complain too much.

Raymond: I was always kind of a fan of L&H too. That was certainly a more innocent time for TV-watchers.

Of course, "doing just as you please" included, this morning, cleaning up a doggy oops after I overslept a bit, instead of telling hubby to do it. But that's part of the deal & OK with me.
