That is the atmospheric, attractive, cozy tavern just across the street from the DPW lot, if I remember correctly.

A wise choice YD.

Used to be there was a Pat's Day parade down Cross Street. Deja Vu had a float one year. Some of the bystanders turned green when the Ladies floated past waving their appendages.

Detroit had a somewhat skimpy St. Pat's Day Parade yesterday. Somewhat skimpy judging from the Freep photos, anyways. But more than nothing; a parade, chilly March or no, would be fun, especially with a festive Deja Vu float. Raymond, may I ask, what happened to this tradition?

Kevin McCormick owned the Irish Pub on Cross (what were the other names? Cross Street Station?). He also was on City Council for a while. Before all that he was a campus rabble rouser. Don't know what he's up to now. He was a prime mover for the parade. It was nice.

It sounds nice. The only other thing with floats we have is the 4th of July parade, to my knowledge.

Memorial Day Parade. Heritage Festival Parade.

I knew I was forgetting something. I did enjoy the 4th parade last year, with dog.

Perhaps it's one of those things better imagined than described...
