The non-fashion-plate Ypsidixit doesn't wish to harp on appearances but nevertheless has to wonder--why the Godawful haircut? Clearly it's a case of disguising a receding hairline, in the ugliest of puke browns imaginable. This gentleman would be better off shaving his head and having it covered with tribal-style tattoos. That would give those punk North Koreans pause. A jowlectomy wouldn't hurt, either. At any rate.

I've noticed a lot of Obnoxious Public Figures (OPF) have crappy haircuts. I think it goes with the territory.

Barber: "Like to try something different this time, Newt?"
OPF: "Nope. Give me that round-head comb-over again, Sam. It works for me."
Barber: "Ah, you mean 'The A-Hole.' That one just never goes out of style with you jerks, does it?"
OPF: "Know thyself, Sam. Know thyself."

Ah, the comb-over. Nearly as attractive as the balding-with-a-ponytail. Men need to realize that by and large, women could care less about men's hirsute status. Balding...bald...thinning...it's no big deal. But, if I may speak for all womankind, the pathetic artifice of comb-overs/vestigial ponytails is a turnoff. Be boldly bald. Be thrillingly thinning. There may be snow on the roof, but that doesn't mean there's not fire in the furnace, or however that goes.

For the record, the lushly-maned Ypsidixit has every hair she's had since age 15.

Cherry-picked tidbits from Bolton's record.

I mean, the guy just looks like a tool. This administration's appointees would usually fall into the realm of parody/humor if they weren't actually true....

Given his comments, I have to agree. Seems like little more than a contemptuous gesture towards the UN.

The Cuba quote from the link above is troubling: "Three current and former State Department officials say Bolton tried to bully the intelligence bureau into endorsing his view that Cuba has a bioweapons program. 'Bolton wanted to go far beyond what the intelligence community would support,' said Greg Thielmann, who retired in September as head of the Strategic, Proliferation and Military Affairs Office in the State Department's intelligence bureau. His assertions about Cuba's bioweapons were 'pure surmise as far as I know,' Thielmann said."

I'm going to shave the top of my head and start combing over the remaining hair. Just to piss you guys off.

LF: Lovely. Please do post a photo once the procedure is complete, in all its combover glory. :)

(I had to laugh, actually).

Ah, the combover/ponytail combo. The Holy Grail of hairstyles. I could compliment it by braiding my back hair.

Good job killing the thread LF

No, no, he didn't (I started this hair stuff)--no worries--threads on this blog wander all over the place & that's fine with all concerned so far as I can tell. Comments nudging people back on topic (UN envoy) are welcome too, H. P.

LF, --just a suggestion--if there's any way to work in a mullet, or suggestions/elements of a mullet, that would be absolutely the crowning touch. Let the cameras start shooting as you regale our humble town with such follicular finery.

Well, by all accounts it sounds as though LF is on fashion's cutting edge. One wonders how that shave-head/combover is working out for him. If nothing else, he has made himself an admired standard-bearer of the combover contingent.

I decided to go with the Riff Raff cut from Rocky Horror. A combover is just too labor intensive.

How can Bolton expect people to respect him with that little fluffy white caterpillar perched on his lip.
Considering the verbal bombs he tosses, he probably doesn't care

It is incongruous-looking. I myself have never understood the desirability of growing a thatch of hair under one's nose, but what do I know.

He should color it or shave it. It certainly doesn't inspire cofidence - he looks demented.

Either color or shave. I say shave, and I agree, he just looks like an oddball...or someone who never looks in the mirror.
