Ypsidixit has been helpfully clued in by our city historian that the Congdon castle was originally a box factory. Apparently a tale of a cardboard empire may be found on page 62 of the local-history book Footnotes in History. Ypsidixit took a desultory look around for her copy which of course is AWOL in some teetering book-pile somewhere, but will bring you the history of local corrugation as soon as it's practicable.

I love buttermilk.
I haven't had it in years either, but your description has me craving it.

Well, I'm in good company then. :)

My beloved little sis referred to reading about the buttermilk on the blog in the manner in which one would refer to snacking on tarantula legs on Fear Factor.

I'm not the older, wiser one for nothin'.

I think the co-op buttermilk was so good because it was from a small local farm. I love the semi-yoghurty, sourish taste. Yum. And for some reason I felt so good after drinking it--I can't help but think it's good for you.
