I went to the game. Was actually a great game. EMu's won. Lots o scoring. The "Battle of the bands" after the game was good, but seemed rigged. It was Ypsi high, Willit Run, and Lincoln. Ypsi and Willit Run won, but Lincoln sounded the best. The cannon firing after each emu score was cool.

Willit Run has the best dance moves by far.

That sounds fun. I didn't know about the cannon. Dumb question: a real cannon? Or, I mean, just a tape recording?

A real howitzer looking cannon. With a buch of camo dudes and dude-ettes holding their ears. Lots of smoke.

I actually attended a game at Rynearson Stadium a few years ago, but mostly to root for EMU's opponent that day who happened to be Central Michigan (where I got my bachelor's degree). EMU vs. CMU is sort of the Mid American Conference's answer to Michigan vs. Michigan State (but then there is also Western Michigan so it is sort of a three way in-state rivalry!) CMU ended up winning in overtime, in what IIRC was the first year that they played overtime in college football. Previously, if a game was tied after four quarters it went in the books as a tie.
