The Michigan Supreme Court just last week reversed their own decision in the Poletown case and ruled that governments do not have the authority to sieze private property for commercial development. That's right--I'd read that but had forgotten, thanks Tom, and thanks for the link. It's heartening to see property rights strengthened--I hope it's something these families can use to resist the Home Depot plan.* * * * * * * * * * * *
