The UMich planning department's building manager forwards around the facilities list e-mails, which include flag-lowerings: on July 21 (wednesday), Gov. Granholm ordered flags lowered on July 22 for Specialist Craig Stuart Frank of Lincoln Park and on July 23 for Sergeant 1st Class David A. Hartman of Akron, both killed in Iraq on July 17. I suspect that Sgt. Elandt will get a flag-lowering early next week. From what I can tell on the UM facilities list, the Governor does order flags lowered to half-mast for all Michigan servicemembers killed on active duty, and does so in such a way that each of them gets his or her very own day of flag-lowering.
