My guess is that either 1) there may not be a large enough audience to support two jazz clubs (The Firefly Club seems to be doing OK), or 2) the Bird may have done itself in by booking the same acts over and over. It does seem to me that the number of live music venues is slowly declining in the AA-Ypsi area, so maybe there just is not the interest in listening to live music that there was.* * * * * * * * * * * * Laura - 2004-07-09 09:26:36 that makes sense--you're right, I did notice a lot of the same names frequently on their schedule.
