I believe that the factory off of forest, or at least the site it sits on, actually used to be a paper mill at one point. There were at least a dozen running from superior down to the current Ford lake; also, that was the site of one of the two 'mineral springs' in Ypsi around the turn of the century. I'm not sure what the warehouse on north huron was for originally, but i went in once during the 'fairy godparents' garage sale last summer, and it's very big and could have been pretty much anything. I'm not sure why they did, but someone has cleared away the brush near the building's east entrance, and you can climb over the mound and see an old loading platform from the railroad line that used to cut through that area (the rail bed eventually turns into the current foot path running behind the emu stadium).
