I note with interest that of the 10 precious books, 3 are scientific in nature and the remaining 7 are religious texts. No other categories. I also note that whereas in this case digitization has brought da Vinci into my Ypsi home, it has also been a death knell for thousands of irreplaceable library books and bound magazines, as detailed in that gripping book by that guy whom I'm too bushed to look up.

I was envious when my mom and dad saw the Book of Kells in the British Museum...I'm amazed by this site. At the risk of sounding like a fuddy-duddy, what an amazing time to live in when the Lindisfarne Gospels float in the ether, ready for downloading.
