My gosh--I am so glad to see you all say that, since I had the same reaction. At the very least, couldn't there have been a less invasive way to help them? Like sending out a nurse with someone they already know in an attempt to check up on the family's health--or establishing communication with the father, who did speak a language, and seeking his input on how best to help with food/education/medical services. I can only imagine how terrified they are now to be ripped from familiar surroundings, with no way to communicate, in a totally unfamiliar environment, at the center of attention. At any rate, I'm trying to follow this story & will post any updates.
